Muay thai shorts run larger than typical fashion shorts. The waistband is elasticated, stretchy and sits comfortably at the waist or hipline.

BETWEEN TWO SIZES?

If you are between selecting two sizes, favor the waist measurement as a reference point. It is generally safe to size down as the waistband is stretchy. 
The lower fabric on the hips does not contain any stretch.
